Llangollen Tiger Lilly, "Tig" was bred at Llangollen Stud in 1999 and was purchased by Ellenbank as a foundation mare as a 3 year old filly. Tig is out of a beautiful little mare “Bambury Trinket” who sadly was put to rest at the end of 2006, and by a stunning stallion “Trentlyn Aristocrat”.

Tig is a very sweet sensitive mare who adores people. So far she has prouduced two lovely colt foals, the 2004 baby 'Ellenbank Tango Tom', 2005 baby 'Ellenbank Tallyman' and four beautiful fillies Ellenbank's first filly the 2007 foal 'Ellenbank Treasure', the 2008 foal 'Ellenbank Tessa', her 2009 foal ‘Ellenbank Trinity’ and a 2011 filly Ellenbank Twilight.

Tilly is the first filly we bred here at Ellenbank so it goes without saying she a very special pony to us and we found it very appropriate to choose the name “Treasure” for her!
Tilly will be retained by the stud. We hope to have Tilly out in the showring in the next few seasons!

LLANGOLLEN ARABELLA
(Coed Coch Hyder IMP x Tjuringa Alice)  

Arabella is another Llangollen mare, who was purchased by Ellenbank at the end of 2006. She was purchased in foal to 'Llangollen Reflections' (palomino) and 4 days after arriving at Ellenbank Stud Arabella foaled a stunning little pally (grey) colt – 'Ellenbank Alacazam'.

In 2007 Arabella foaled a beautiful chestnut colt with 3 socks and a blaze who was named 'Ellenbank Archer'. Archie has been sold and now resides at Emerald Coad Stud in NSW. In 2008 Arabella blessed us with another special colt “Ellenbank Admiral”. Admiral is a striking grey colt with 4 stockings and a huge blaze. Admiral has already been sold to a stud/show home in southern Tasmania *see the news page for more details*. In 2009 Arabella foaled her first filly foal for us here at Ellenbank, we have named her ‘Ellenbank Amelia’. In 2011 Arabella kindly foaled another filly, we have named her Ellenbank Annie and Annie will be retained by the stud.

Tiger Lilly is one of the new edition’s to the broodmare band here at Ellenbank. "Pig" as she was affectionately known to her previous owners is a very sweet little mare with the hugest eyes.

We would like to take this time to thank the Howe Family from Nawarrah Park (http://www.nawarrahpark.com/) for letting us purchase this lovely mare. She fits in very well here and will be a great asset to our broodmare band.

In 2009 ‘Pig’ foaled a beautiful bay filly foal to Cherrytree Mandarin – Ellenbank Lillies N Lace. Lacey will be retained by the stud. In 2011 "Pig" foaled another beautiful bay filly who is the dead spit of her mother. We have called her Ellenbank Lucie Lou.

Peggy as she is affectionantly known as is Ellenbank’s newest addition to the stud.
Peggy is currently on a romantic holiday in NSW with Woranora Mosaic for a 2011 foal.

GLYNYARRA PARK BLUEBIRD

Bluebird is the latest purchase for us here at Ellenbank. We had been on the look out for another mare when we came across Bluebird. I kept thinking she was too young for what we wanted so we kept looking around, in the end we always came back to Bluebird’s photos and finally decided to purchase her as a future broodmare/show pony and not take her young age into consideration.

For now Bluebird will run with the other fillies and have some fun out in the paddock over winter growing! She is one of the sweetest natured ponies we have met, and are very thankful that Michele from Glynyarra Park let us purchase her.
